Managing your policy during a work disruption at Canada Post

The potential of a Canada Post strike or lockout may impact the delivery of important policy management communication including, but not limited to, renewal notices, pink slips and policy changes.

To avoid potential interruption in your coverage, payment of your insurance policy should be received by your renewal date. To serve you during this potential interruption in mail service and ensure you’re able to enjoy continued coverage, we have the following alternative payment options available: 

  • By phone: Give us a call at 1-800-461-4099 any time between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday to make a payment by credit card.
  • In Person: Visit us in Stouffville to pay in person by credit card, cheque or cash. 
  • Online banking: For our collector car customers, simply set up Hagerty Canada, LLC as a payee, and use your client number to pay. For our home and auto customers, add Scottish and York home and auto as a payee, and use your account number. 
  • Pre-authorized renewal payments: This is an easy way to pay for your insurance through automatic annual, semi-annual, quarterly and monthly withdrawals from your bank account or credit card. 

In the event of a mail service disruption, all policy management communication will be held and mailed when service has been reinstated. During this time, if you require any of your insurance documents, please contact us to have those documents emailed or faxed to you.
